All students are provided with the opportunity to learn about different global challenges taking into consideration the importance and significance of the UAE culture and heritage. In English and Mathematics, the curriculum is based on U.S. Common core state stander (CCSS) and in science; it is based on Next Generation Standards. Effect of US Curriculum
Our American curriculum is globally recognized with its high international framework. It is anticipated that it will effectively meet all educational needs of all students individually and collective levels of different ages, nationalities, ethnic groups and social backgrounds. Additionally, it meets student’s intellectual development as well as the various levels of educational attainment and abilities. Programs in different subjects are integrated to create a well-rounded lesson, which touches upon not only content but also real-life experiences. The curriculum focuses on helping students discover the subjects where they excel and make the most of their talents, preparing them for university and beyond by promoting creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. The curriculum also motivates students for tapping into and realizing their full potential and ensures development of “Whole Child”. It establishes a firm foundation of knowledge and skills in core subjects of English Language Arts, Mathematics, History/Geography, and Science.
There is also a huge benefit from an enriched curriculum through Art, PE, and Computer as well as an additional benefit from UAE National Curriculum in Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies. The school supports innovation and development, especially in relation to the use of ICT and other technologies to enhance and enrich learning across the school’s curriculum.
Our nurturing KG staff members provide an atmosphere in which life-long learners develop in a safe and secure environment. Students are encouraged to think outside the box and to share their ideas, thoughts, and use problem-solving strategies during a wide-range of learning activities. We are committed to provide a variety of learning opportunities and experiences that are based on the interests, strengths, and needs of our students, and in laying the foundation of success in learning. In National school, we truly focus on helping the whole child to grow, focusing on physical, social, emotional, cognitive and linguistic development. A key focus of our school is our relationships with our parents, and focusing on engaging them as a key part of our school. The reason for our focus in this area is simple; children thrive, learn more successfully when their parents are actively engaged, and support the school in delivering a high-quality education to them. In National school, we are offering Montessori and student led curriculum that helps student’s development and increase their motivation towards learning.
As a Kindergarten staff, we are working closely with children in order to meet their different needs.
